Why Paws ‘n Motion loves giving back!

I once heard that it is always best to speak from the heart, and that everybody has their own story to tell.

I have always been a big believer that we all need to give back to those who are less fortunate and/or do great works in our community when we can.

Charity and fundraising is very important to me.  I know that I am blessed beyond measure and I have many stories to tell.  I would not be here without the help of a couple miracles (2x brain tumor survivor).  Without those miracles, I would not have a beautiful wife, a beautiful son, a fantastic family, a super dog, great friends and a pet care company that I love.

In 2007 I was on the computer and I just typed in brain tumor charity and the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) popped up.  I read a bit, and the charity really resonated with me.  I loved their mission statement and what they do, so I reached out to them to see if I could help in any way.  They sent me a reply back and a place to register for their annual 5K race in Chicago, Illinois. I could not go at that time so I became a virtual fundraiser with them.  They set me up with my very own website that I was to ask friends and family to donate to help finding a cure for Brain Tumors.  That year I became the 6th highest grossing individual  and I have never looked back.  I actually hit #2 a few years later! 🙂 In total, with YOUR help I have raised almost 20K for them. 🙂 It was pretty amazing because people that I did not know started donating and sending me letters thanking me for helping.

Since then I have had the pleasure to start my own pet care company, and while I am not financially rich, I am beyond rich in other areas of my life.  I have the fortunate opportunity to give back.  That is why I am starting my own campaign where I donate a portion to my monthly earnings to local and national animal shelters and charities.

We all need to pay it forward.
